Advocacy

ELDI advocates for stakeholders and issues within East Liberty and also on a more regional level, always to further the goals and visions within our community plan and other planning documents. Internal (East Liberty) advocacy includes taking a stance on behalf of stakeholders when different projects are proposed or underway, such as opposing nonconforming uses in our commercial core or supporting the creation of a Neighborhood Improvement District. External (regional) advocacy is most often encouraging or opposing public policy or regulation, such as supporting changes in regional authorities' commitment to green infrastructure or opposing transit cuts.
